Since the start of the pandemic our 'little' shop has worked very hard to make sure that our customers can shop in a safe environment. We have really appreciated your patience and support in implementing the measures introduced. Thank you.

Here is a quick guide to what you can expect on your next visit:

Face coverings:

• There is no longer a legal requirement for staff or customers to wear face coverings in retail or close contact services. 

• The decision over whether to wear a face covering in our shop will be for each individual customer to decide. Whilst the Government says to encourage the use of them in enclosed spaces, we will respect your decision either way.

Shopping comfortably:

• For the time being we will continue to limit the number of customers inside at the same time.

• This is simply because we are a small shop with limited waiting space inside and our customers have told us it has made for a more comfortable shopping experience.

• We have a covered outdoor waiting area to protect you from the weather and we'll even provide stools to sit on, so you can relax as you wait!

• We will continue to use our signage and traffic light system on the shop door so you know when to enter. Red light - 'do not enter', Green light - 'please enter'.

 

Cleaning:

• We will continue to do regular in shop cleaning, especially around touch points.

 

Sanitising stations:

• We will continue to provide hand sanitiser if you wish to use it. 

• Our staff will be regularly hand washing and sanitising.

Payments:

• You can still pay by contactless payments.

• You can still pay by chip and pin.

• We have always and will still accept cash.

Other info:

We will continue to provide -

• Disposable socks for trying on shoes.

• Adequate ventilation, regularly airing the shop.

• Any clothing or shoes brought back to be exchanged will be dealt with as per recommended guidelines.

• Ask staff or customers who feel unwell to stay at home.

 

We have made the above decisions based on what the Government has published in their guidance.
